After years of success in Chicago, Surge first expanded beyond the Windy City in 2018, with the launch of the Oakland Surge Fellowship. Since then, we have expanded into several new cities via our Surge Academy program. As we look ahead, you can expect to see Surge grow into even more spaces with a mix of local and national programs all in alignment with our ongoing mission to develop, unite and elevate leaders of color in education.
