The Latinx Education Collaborative (Founder/CEO & 2019 Surge Academy Alum – Edgar Jose Palacios) and Urban Ed Academy (Executive Director & 2018 Surge Oakland Alum – Randy Seriguchi Jr.) have been selected in the first round of grant recipients of the new competitive funding opportunity from the NewSchools Venture Fund, with financial support from the Walton Family Foundation, which aims to diversify the PreK-12 teaching profession.
