“The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed a wide range of inequalities that are most often experienced by children of color. There is a lot of work to be done to help eliminate those gaps and I wanted to find a program that would better prepare me for that task. My goal is to improve my leadership skills so that I can guide my team and the youth we serve to achieve their heart’s desires and improve their holistic health. I believe the Surge Fellowship program will provide me with a community of like minded people who will help to elevate me to that next level.”
