“It is my hope that the Surge Fellowship will give me the safe space and platform to connect with other leaders of color who share similar and different experience than me in order for me to grow. It is also my hope that my passion is reignited in the work I do. Sometimes being a leader in this work can feel heavy and you feel your passion begin to wane slightly. However, I am a firm believer that if we continue to lift each other up, pour into and affirm one another, our passion will continue to grow and we will be able to have an even greater impact on the children and families we serve. It is my hope that I will complete the fellowship with even more knowledge, skills, understanding, passion, and motivation to help impact the freedom dreams I have for the amazing children of this city.”
