“As a Surge Fellow, I hope to join a network of like-minded, driven individuals who will contribute to my growth on my leadership journey. I hope to expand my skill set and embrace elements of leadership that I am unfamiliar with. The Surge Fellowship elevates virtues that are important to me and aligned to my growth as a district leader, such as equity, elevating leaders of color, and love. I transitioned into a new, unfamiliar role one year ago and I know that being accepted as a Surge Fellow will provide me with the community, supports, continuous learning opportunities, and personal fulfillment that will equip me with the tools necessary to navigate in a district leadership role.”
