Lathan J. Pooser is an Assistant Principal whose mission is to cultivate culturally inclusive learning that promotes positive student outcomes. His current role as an assistant principal involves serving as the lead administrator for the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) Team, School Testing Coordinator, and Safety and Facilities Coordinator. In addition to his duties and responsibilities in leadership, he has conducted presentations at the local and state levels on topics rooted in positive behavioral interventions and supports and diversity and inclusion. His presentation, The Buck Starts Here: Cultivating Diversity to Enhance Social Capital in Education, was featured at Georgia Charter Systems Foundation Fall Conference in October 2022. Lathan received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Master of Arts in School Leadership from Furman University. He also holds an Education Specialist in Educational Leadership and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Education Leadership from Liberty University.
