JuDonne Hemingway is an experienced Educator, DEI Strategist, and Systems Leader who helps others persist unapologetically in pursuit of their visions. She explores how bold strategy, anti-racist practices, and core values-based leadership development work together to help leaders and organizations (re)ignite their superpowers and (re)imagine what’s possible. JuDonne currently serves as the Principal of Gary Comer Middle School where together with her team she works to provide an anti-racist school environment that focuses on: joy, rigor and relevancy where scholars are affirmed, challenged and celebrated for both who they are and what they hope to become. JuDonne has over 15 years of experience in educational leadership, school administration, organizational effectiveness, and DEI strategy. She is also the President and Founder of the Foundation for Racial Equity in Education (F.R.E.E) which develops leaders of color in Education by building their capacity to disrupt inequitable practices in, outside, and around systems. Most important to JuDonne is her role as a mom and partner. She has two children, Torey (20) and Taylen (17) whom she affectionately calls TnT; and has a bonus daughter Humility (8) with her fiancé’ Marvin. Last but not least, JuDonne is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.
