Chelvert J. Wellington, affectionately known as “C.J.” has been a dedicated educator for over fifteen years. A Miami Native, he has resided in Jacksonville for nearly twenty years. He is a 2004 graduate of Florida A&M University and he earned his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville University in 2012. C.J., currently serves as Principal at Fort Caroline Middle School of the Arts.
Mr. Wellington truly believes that all students can learn; he is passionate about getting students and teachers excited about teaching, learning, and growing holistically as a community. He is innovative and progressive in his approach to education as well as having a track record of classroom success and school leadership. He is devoted to not only being an impact within the school, but in the surrounding community as well.
Chelvert J. Wellington is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and is heavily involved with the Theta Phi chapter of Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Wellington is a devoted husband of one and father of five.
