Vicki Brown is an educator who always wanted everyone to win, she is known as a servant leader and believes that everyone matters. Throughout her career, she prides herself in working to make sure a win for you is a win for us all. Born in Chesapeake Virginia, she moved and started her career in Chicago Public Schools over 20 years ago. She has served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. She currently provides educational leadership and instructional support to more than 70 teachers and 254 students at South Shore Fine Arts Academy on the Southside of Chicago. She is leading them to become a premier school in the community with a Fine Arts Focus. Principal Brown earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Norfolk State University and has earned two advance degrees from Southern Illinois University and DePaul University. She is currently studying to attain her superintendent certification. She has been married for 25 years with two beautiful adult children, serves in her church, and is an active member of her sorority. If you ask what motivates her to do this work, she will tell you that she does it for the love of children. With love and the right support they can do anything. We owe them our best so they can become the best version of themselves.
