An accomplished educational leader with over a decade of experience in school administration, Shalane Peterson is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and positive school culture. As Principal of Dinsmore Elementary, she leads a Title 1 school serving 560 students, focusing on educational vision, curriculum development, staff leadership, and community engagement. Under her leadership, the school has achieved a strong academic standing and recognition as a PBIS Model School.
Previously serving as an Assistant Principal at multiple elementary schools, Shalane has a proven track record of driving student achievement. Her expertise in instructional leadership, data-driven decision-making, and student-centered initiatives has significantly impacted student success.
Shalane holds a Master of Education from Argosy University and a Bachelor of Science from Florida A&M University. She is certified in School Principalship, Educational Leadership, and Elementary and Early Childhood Education. A committed advocate for equity and innovation in education, she has completed multiple leadership programs, including the Emerging Leaders Program and the Aspiring Principals Academy.
