“The Surge Fellowship represents an opportunity to build a community unlike any I have ever experienced; it represents the chance to work with other passionate educators of color to transform the education ecosystem in Philadelphia. If accepted, I will use all the resources and support that the Surge Academy offers. I will take advantage of the diversity of thought and experience in the cohort to become a stronger leader. I intend to be a positive contributor to the Surge Fellowship cohort, sharing my experience and supporting other leaders as they work to manifest their vision. I pride myself on asking thoughtful questions that deepen my understanding and push those around me to expand their thinking. I will strive to bring my full self to each full-day session and retreat and encourage other fellows to do the same. ”
