As I grow older, social circles become smaller, and far too often, the progress that needs to happen in our community falters because individualism competes with the greater mission. From what I witnessed and experienced thus far from Surge is that the concept of community is alive and flourishing because everyone understands that we can go farther together than apart. For the goals that I have in the current and next leg of my journey, I understand that I need to surround myself with like-minded people who believe that the dreams we have for ourselves and the communities we serve are possible.
