Servant leader is the term used by most to describe Principal Louis Davis. Davis has a passion for changing not only the narrative for his students and the community he serves but also the narrative for black males in both teaching and leadership positions, as he recognizes that black males only make up 8.9% of leadership within his own district. He embodies the mantra “Mamba Mentality” with his approach to the work, constantly striving to improve daily. In his 3rd year as Principal, Davis has increased student enrollment by 60% and strengthened parent partnership. For him, education was not a choice but a calling, and he embraces it daily.
