Being a person of color in leadership can be deeply isolating and unpredictable, and it often comes with unique challenges that are difficult to explain to those who have not walked the same path. Surge creates a space where those experiences are not only understood but affirmed. Having a group of individuals who can walk with me, stand beside me, and share in both the struggles and the victories builds a powerful sense of camaraderie. It is in that collective support that true freedom emerges, the freedom to lead as my most authentic self. Surge challenges me to grow while reminding me that my story, voice, and leadership matter.
