Mrs. Latoya Lyons found her purpose in life at an early age as a kindergartner when she discovered that she loved learning and teaching others how to master the art of school. She would be an educator! She’s been a 24-year educator within the Chicago Public Schools. Outside of teaching she has served as a school-based literacy coach to an area/network instructional coach to an Assistant Principal. Currently, she serves as the Principal at William H Brown STEM school in the Near West side community on the West-side of Chicago. She has received the CPS Game Changer award, serves on the Network and district Principal Advisory councils, and is a Principal mentor to two sitting CPS principals. She is married to Jacob and is the mother to one son, Josiah.
