A proud resident of the Windy City, I bring 21 years of experience in education, with the past four years dedicated to administration. My journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Memphis, followed by a master’s degree in Math Education from DePaul University and another master’s in Educational Administration from Chicago State University.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to both instructional excellence and equity. As a member of the inaugural cohort of the CPS Teacher Advocacy Committee, I collaborated with educators and district leaders to analyze data in core subjects and provide recommendations for district-wide implementation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I served as a teacher leader, coaching my peers on best practices for delivering engaging and effective remote instruction.
I firmly believe that it takes a village to raise a child and actively seek innovative ways to involve families in the wraparound support essential for high school students’ success. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Principal at Lincoln Park High School, the #1 neighborhood high school in Chicago and one of the top 30 high schools in Illinois. My mission is to cultivate an inclusive and high-achieving learning environment where all students thrive.
