With over 14 years of experience in education, Damali Caine has dedicated her career to empowering students and fostering academic growth. She began her journey at Andrews University, where she earned a dual degree in Religious Studies and Communication, before obtaining a master’s degree in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University and a School Building Leadership degree from Manhattan College.
As the founding Campus Director of Forte Prep High School, Damali leads with both pride and purpose. She is committed to creating a learning environment where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to excel. Her leadership is grounded in the belief that all students, regardless of background, deserve access to high-quality education and the resources needed to thrive.
Damali’s career has been shaped by a wealth of experiences—serving as a parent coordinator, teacher, department chair, and grade-level leader in schools ranging from boarding institutions to urban campuses. This diverse background has deepened her understanding of the unique needs of students and strengthened her ability to cultivate inclusive, high-achieving learning spaces. After gaining knowledge and experience in various places, Damali made the intentional decision to return home to New York City—the community that shaped her into the person she is today. Journeying back wasn’t just about geography; it was about purpose. She saw the opportunity to pour into the very neighborhoods that once nurtured her, ensuring that students from similar backgrounds have access to the resources, guidance, and opportunities they need to thrive.
Beyond her work in education, Damali finds joy and inspiration in spending time with her loving husband and adorable children. Their love and support fuel her commitment to shaping a future where equity and excellence go hand in hand.
