“As a Surge Fellow, my goal is to gain more insight into who I am and who I am growing to be as a leader in Detroit’s education sector. I have spent a great deal of time developing as an education leader, and I have so much more to accomplish. Working alongside other impactful leaders would mean that I’m able to not only share what I know but also collaborate with others during my time in the fellowship. I am currently at a time in my life where I have more opportunity and time for fellowships as my daughter begins her journey to and through college.”
