The Black Principals Network (BPN) is a national professional community dedicated to sustaining and elevating Black school leaders. We create a supportive space for connection, professional growth, and collective action, grounded in our shared experiences and culture. Our members are visionary leaders who are actively shaping the lives of students in schools across the country.
Our Mission:
The Black Principals Network is dedicated to the community, restoration, professional development, and liberation of Black principals across the country. The overarching goal of BPN is to co-create a community of Black principals in pursuit of the career-bolstering and self-sustaining practices that are often not prioritized in this impactful yet demanding role.
Elevating the Black Principal Seat
The Regional Leadership Summit is an intensive 1.5-day experience designed to equip, energize, and elevate Black school leaders. This curated space allows principals to name their realities and move with shared strategy across the region.
BPN is co-creating community in pursuit of the career-bolstering and self-sustaining practices often overlooked in this demanding role.

Regional Leadership Summit
The objectives of the Regional Leadership Summit:
- Anchor: Create space for Black principals to stabilize, restore, and protect the seat through practices that sustain leadership longevity.
- Steward: Strengthen leaders’ capacity to responsibly care for the seat by cultivating habits that protect sustainability.
- Design: Strengthen school systems that increase learning and belonging while reducing overload.
- Mobilize: Build collective power through regional alignment and coordinated advocacy.
