Objective
The National Alumni Committee and its members support the FUEL rock of Surge’s 3-Year Strategic Plan intending to FUEL a continuously expanding movement in alignment with our vision for greater impact.
FUEL is how we sustain and support our alumni after getting them into the movement.
The goal is to support leaders to maximize positive impact within their communities after alumni leave our programs and ensure we can sustain the work they do after graduation. The National Alumni Committee is an integral part of supporting us in this effort by identifying local, regional, and cross-cohort needs.
Strategy
Every Surge city will have representation (2-3 members) on the National Alumni Committee to support and lead efforts to sustain connections and community within their regions and beyond. Given the breadth of the Surge Alumni network in 2024, while not every individual cohort will be represented, the ideal National Alumni Committee also includes representatives from across graduation years. Alumni can apply to join the Committee every February, and Committee members will serve in their role for a minimum of one year from March through at least the following February.
