Le’Yondo Dunn is Chief Program Officer at YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School.

“Philadelphia is the poorest, large city in the United States, and the implications on students, particularly brown and Black students, are immense. I wholeheartedly believe that it will take brown and Black leaders to disrupt the current status quo and bring about the transformational change our students deserve. My participation in Surge Academy will allow me to hone in on my development as a leader and expand my ideas and visions to institutions throughout the city that I love so much. I am excited to join a coalition of like-minded leaders who will lead the change in Philadelphia’s education sector.”
