Dr. Muronji Inman-McCraw is a passionate, equity-driven educator and the proud principal of Inspired Teaching Demonstration School, where she leads with joy, alignment, and collective efficacy. She is dedicated to building inclusive, high-achieving learning environments where students, educators, and families feel seen, valued, and empowered. A progressive educator at heart, Dr. Inman believes that meaningful relationships, student-centered instruction, and a strong community culture are the foundations of a thriving school.

With a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s in Special Education and Human Development from George Washington University, and a Bachelor’s in Communications and Theatre with a minor in African-American Studies from Temple University, Dr. Inman brings a unique blend of academic expertise and creative problem-solving to her leadership. She began her career teaching in D.C. before joining Harlem Children’s Zone in New York City, where she took on multiple leadership roles, including special education coordinator, humanities coach, assistant principal of instruction, and director of curriculum and instruction. Throughout her career, she has been deeply invested in coaching, consulting, and professional learning, ensuring that educators have the tools and support they need to create transformative learning experiences for students.

A firm believer in continuous improvement, Dr. Inman is always analyzing data, facilitating meaningful feedback conversations, and finding ways to elevate achievement while centering joy. She is particularly passionate about the well-being of Black women in education and works to create spaces where they can thrive as students, educators, and leaders. At ITDS, she is committed to learning every student and staff member’s name—not just because it’s a personal challenge, but because she knows that feeling seen and known is the first step toward belonging.

Outside of school, Dr. Inman enjoys deep conversations about education, a perfectly brewed cup of coffee, and the magic of small, everyday wins. She firmly believes that great leadership is part strategy, part heart, and part knowing when to take a break and have a good laugh.
