Dr. Candace Anderson-Matchem is a transformational educational leader with over 16 years of experience, dedicated to fostering equity, academic excellence, and student engagement. As Assistant Principal at Chicago Public Schools’ Virtual Academy, she has spearheaded initiatives in personalized learning, culturally responsive instruction, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). A published researcher on teacher retention and intersectionality, she holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership along with multiple advanced degrees. Beyond K-12 education, she has contributed to higher education as an adjunct faculty member.
