I am always looking for growth areas, support, and to develop in all areas of educational leadership. I know that consistently improving how I serve and support Black and Latinx students in Philadelphia means that I must continually improve as a leader. Being a Surge Fellow will put me in a position to learn from, teach, and collaborate with other education leaders to help with my goal of opening a STEM Learning Resource Center in Philadelphia.
As I teach 21st-century students, I want this opportunity to learn from near-peers about the “next best thing” in education, especially the STEM world.
I also work best when in collaboration with a community and can complete my goals with increased effectiveness and efficiency, as well as support someone to complete their own goals. Collectively, we must create the healthy village our students need to have, see, and feel.
