Bryan Stroud, a Long Island native, relocated to Spring Hill, Florida, during high school before attending the University of Florida, where his passion for diversity and involvement took root. As a Teach For America Metro Atlanta alum, he experienced the transformative power of education, leading him to New Orleans, where he continued as both a teacher and teacher leader.

Committed to becoming a well-rounded educator, Bryan gained expertise in culture, operations, and instruction, holding roles such as Director of School Operations with TFA Institute, Network Equity Steering Committee Lead, Grade Team Leader, and PBIS Director. In 2018, he graduated from the Summer Principals Academy at Columbia Teachers College and was offered a leadership fellowship with Democracy Prep in Harlem, New York. Two years later, he stepped into the role of Principal at Harlem Elementary.

Now entering his 11th year in education, Bryan’s upbringing, experiences, and opportunities have shaped his dedication to expanding opportunities for all scholars, especially Black and Brown scholars. He remains inspired by the raw potential of the students he serves and the profound impact of simple moments, like a hug, on a child’s trajectory.

As a leader, Bryan continuously strives to expand his impact and excellence, learning and growing every day.
